Welcome! Let me introduce myself.
I’m Molly, an Aussie creative with a profound love of travel and a flair for noticing, capturing and creating beautiful things.
In full transparency: reconnecting with my inner five-year-old has, without fail, been the best thing I've done as an adult.
Let me paint you a picture. Young me, happily spending hours drawing, painting, or giving my childhood bedroom a new makeover every other week, because why not. If I wasn't covered in paint or elbow-deep in a pile of bold-patterned clothes, I was organising my collection of coloured pencils or sparkly bangles. There was a calm in the quiet, a peace in the mess, and unfiltered joy — the kind you only find when you're not really trying, you're just in the flow.
Fast forward a few decades. A healthcare career, a family, obligations, the whole adulting drill. The hum of creativity didn't disappear — it just got quiet. Really quiet.
But the words of the year are BACK YOURSELF. For me, that means making space for that inner five-year-old and the things that make her, her — in nap times, on weekends, after bedtime, whenever I can grab it.
The work itself comes from years of travel. I spent my twenties with a camera in one hand and a passport full of stamps in the other. I wasn't photographing landmarks. I was photographing the things everyone else walked past. Those images became a bank I still draw from today — I print them, then layer acrylic, marker and ink over them for months, until they become something else entirely. Not quite a photograph, not quite a painting.
I'm not chasing sales, befriending algorithms, or forcing some polished version of "success."
You know what is my vibe? An afternoon creating in my beautiful home, surrounded by colour-drenched inspo, paint-splattered hands, and a playlist of 90s throwbacks and 80s disco.
Creating is the feeling of coming home after a long day of being everywhere but where I want to be. The art I make is an extension of that — work that asks you to pause.
So if you're here and feeling a little spark of curiosity about what I'm up to — welcome to my world.
